Gutter Guards in the Triangle

Whether you’re a seasoned homeowner or a newbie, you’re likely familiar with the joys of gutter cleaning. It’s one of those necessary evils of homeownership—a critical task you simply can’t ignore. And while some folks can get away with cleaning them out only a few times a year, those who live in heavily wooded or windy areas have to clean their gutters as much as once a month! Unfortunately, cleaning out your gutters isn’t just an unpleasant, time-consuming chore—it’s downright dangerous! From bees’ nests to wobbly ladders, the task of cleaning out your gutters is rife with peril. It’s no wonder then, that gutter guards have become so popular in recent years.

What Are Gutter Guards?

Gutter guards are made from sturdy, perforated metal that fit snugly over your gutters. They act as a filter, letting water flow through to your gutter system where it can be safely channeled away, while keeping leaves, pine needles, and other debris from gumming up the works. Gutter guards eliminate the need for gutter cleaning, enhance the durability and longevity of your gutter system, and allow your gutters to work optimally.

Types of Gutter Guards

At Wilson and Sons, we offer two gutter guard brands: Shur Flo and Leaf Shelter. These are premium gutter guard systems that will put an end to your gutter problems for good!

  • Shur Flo Gutter Guards allow rainwater from your roof to drain through its patented perf-flow filtration system. Leaves, pine needles, twigs, and even the smallest debris are suspended on top of the aluminum panels, where circulating air allows the leaves and debris to dry and eventually be swept away by the wind. The gutter guards install over your existing gutters and feature a low profile that make them virtually invisible from the ground. Shur Flo gutter guards feature 20-year warranty.

  • Leaf Shelter Gutter Guards work the same way but feature a different design. Rainwater flows down your roof and drains through the patent-pending Aluma Flow Louver System. Leaf Shelter aluminum gutter guards have been tested to handle up to 28.4 inches of rainfall per hour, making them ideal for very rainy, windy environments. Just like with the Shur Flo gutter guards, leaves, seeds, twigs, and debris collect on top of the Leaf Shelter panels, where they dry and are eventually blown off by the wind. Available in multiple colors and featuring an ultra-low profile, these gutter guards also feature a 20-year warranty.
