Susan has been a practicing tax accountant for almost ten years. She is a licensed CPA in North Carolina and works in many areas of accounting and tax services. Her experience comes from working in public accounting, being a small business owner, and volunteering as an accountant for not-for-profits. Having been a business owner and a real estate investor, she understands the many challenges small businesses face as they manage their day-to-day operations while providing their services and products to their customers. Susan also previously managed efficiency and effectiveness audits of state programs for the Georgia State Legislature.

Susan earned her undergraduate degree, BS in Business Administration with a Concentration in Decision and Information Sciences, from the University of Florida, Gainesville and completed her post-bachelors accounting classes at the University of South Florida.

In the local community, Susan has served in various leadership roles for local non-profits, including Treasurer for a growing wildlife rescue organization.  She was a volunteer tax preparer for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) in Chapel Hill, NC.

Susan is married to Don and they have three children. Her oldest child is in college and her twins are in high school. Susan enjoys working in the yard, bird watching with her husband, and spending time at the beach.

David G. McIntee, CPA has been in the CPA practice field for more than 40 years. Dave entered public accounting in 1977 upon graduation from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He has extensive knowledge in the areas of business, individual, fiduciary and non-profit organization taxation and accounting.

Dave has served on numerous Boards over the years including serving as Chair of the Small Firm Advocacy Committee for the AICPA, as a member of the AICPA Governing Council, and on the Executive Committee of the Private Companies Practice Section for the AICPA.

Ema “Didi” McGuire

Office Administrator

Ema “Didi” McGuire manages the bookkeeping in the office and assists with seasonal tax preparation. She also handles office administration and cheerfully greets clients and visitors. Didi has a breadth of experience including eldercare and 13 years as a legal assistant.

Didi grew up in Chapel Hill after spending her childhood years in Maryland. She lives in Hillsborough with her husband. Didi enjoys spending time at the beach, yardwork, gardening, and cooking.
